«WHEN TIME AND SPACE AND CHANGE CONVERGE, WE FIND PLACE. WE ARRIVE IN PLACE WHEN WE RESOLVE THINGS. PLACE IS PEACE OF MIND AND UNDERSTANDING. PLACE IS KNOWLEDGE OF SELF. PLACE IS RESOLUTION». - Abdullah Ibrahim, Musician.

introduction

When I am looking at the old issues produced, I always feel weird and I keep telling myself «Man these are not great». I always want to improve my work and even if it’s already the sixth issue, it feels like a new chapter. I need to do something different each time, trying to not copy paste things I’ve done, it wouldn’t be exciting for me as a creative person. Knowing that I need to challenge myself everyday is hard because it is a daily struggle but, once you overstep your own fears and think about what you just achieved you see that it was worth it.

With time you change and evolve. I can relate to all the things I’ve lived and experienced. You have to find the right balance, understand what is missing and what do you need to do to get some relief whilst creating.

Many things have changed since the last JOURNAL. When I am thinking about Japan,  I picture this girl you met through the Internet but unfortunately she is living on the other side of the planet, even so you are talking to her on a daily basis, exchanging things about your private life... You feel like you know her completely, her perfections and her flaws. There is no secret between you and her, a connexion.

At a young age I was attracted to Japanese culture, I learned how to draw by watching Manga, animes on TV and I borrowed some from my brother until I got enough money to buy mine. I totally became a geek, I drew all the time and I started to lie to my girlfriend just to play with my friends... Shit was insane. I don’t need to think much about it, this time I just want to breathe, let go and let things happen.
